A Modern Vegetarian Food Blog

Here, you'll find a mix of original vegetarian dishes and satisfying desserts. This food bog is a way for me to come up with new and exciting vegetarian recipes while inspiring others to get creative in the kitchen when it comes to eating a more vegetarian diet.

I'm Riley — The girl behind the blog.

I don’t call myself a vegetarian but I really strive to eat a mostly vegetarian diet. I hate seeing food go to waste, especially meat, so I’ll eat it when the alternative is it getting trashed. I grew up eating meat but it wasn’t until my mid-twenties when I started feeling guilty when I’d eat it. I decided it was unnecessary to eat meat and that I could be fulfilled without it.

I initially started this blog because of my passion for food photography but years later it transitioned into what it is today — a blog to inspire others to get creative when it comes to eating vegetarian.

A bit more about me:

  • I have my own graphic design business Riley Yahr Creative Studio. I design brands for passionate entrepreneurs and small business owners.

  • I’m an animal lover and absolutely obsessed with dogs.

  • I love being outside, hiking and camping.

  • I recently returned from a 4-month road trip, traveling around the US and Canada with my boyfriend, and our two dogs — Olive and Bruce — in an old VW Vanagon named Sue. We hit 43 states and drove 25,000 miles and it was an amazing adventure. Check out some of my photographs from the journey on My Shop!
